What are Premium Services?
SBC’s Premium Services are:
- A new service for TEXAN 2000 users
- Router equipment provided as part of the ATM or Frame Relay
service
- One monthly fee for the ATM or Frame Relay and Equipment
- Two or Three year term for this service for maximum flexibility.
- Features industry leading Cisco equipment.
Why Premium Services?
SBC is providing Premium Services due to:
- Budget Constraints - Due to budget issues State
Agencies and Political Subdivisions may not have the capital funds to purchase
or lease new network equipment
- Customer Convenience - SBC is simplifying the
acquisition and deployment of network equipment for customers. There is no
need to worry about maintenance or equipment failures, SBC is keeping track of
these items so customers can focus on their core business.
- Advancing Technology - State Agencies and Political
Subdivisions can deploy modern packet services without getting trapped with
outdated equipment. Technology can be refreshed in two or three years as required.

How to Order
SBC will assist the Customer to develop requirements for Premium Service taking into account:
- packet service port and access circuit BPS rate
- router package required
- PVCs required to connect to remote location
- Source and Destination addresses
