Domestic Outbound Long Distance call types include IntraLATA
(long distance call within one LATA), InterLATA
(call between LATAs), and Interstate. To view Tex-an 2000
International rates, please click on the International
Long Distance link on the left side of this page. Access
to the Tex-an Long Distance network can be via Switched or
Dedicated Access.
Switched Access
Traditional 1+ LD service is Switched access. Switched
service is provided over the customer's local phone lines.
Customers connecting to the Tex-an network via switched access
are charged at the Switched origination rates. The price per
minute depends on whether the terminating number is a switched
or dedicated location on the Tex-an network.
Dedicated
Dedicated Long Distance is provided over a dedicated access
circuit that is installed at the customer's location
and terminates at the AT&T Point of Presence (P O P).
Dedicated Access is a cost effective solution for
medium and large customers. Please see the Dedicated Voice
section for Voice Access Pricing.
In order to receive the Dedicated Origination/Dedicated
Termination per minute rate below, both the originating
and terminating locations must be on the Tex-an network.
