These services are available to state, county, and local governments; state, county, and local government-supported educational or healthcare agencies, and all subordinate bodies lawfully created to carry out any governmental function. HB1545, passed during the 2001 legislative session, provided for institutions of higher education to purchase or not purchase from Section 2170 of the Government Code. Federal government agencies and non-profit hospitals are not eligible.

Rates are month-to-month, with no termination or installation charges, except where noted.
On certain services ordered on or after 10-04-02, SBC is authorized to charge a pro rata installation charge in the event a customer does not keep an ordered service for at least 12 months.
