GENERAL OVERVIEW

Tex-An 2000 is an agreement between the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and AT&T Texas (formerly SBC Texas) for various telecommunication services, data services, hardware, software, and IT services including:

• Local Switched Services
• Dedicated Services – Data
• Dedicated Services – Voice
• DSL-RLAN, ADSL, SDSL
• Packet Services – ATM, Frame Relay Service, Circuit Emulation
• Long Distance – Outbound Services
• Long Distance – Inbound Services
• Conferencing Services
• Dedicated Internet Access
• Hardware, Software, and IT Services

Customer Eligibility:
Different products and services offered through DIR are governed by different parts of state law. The following eligibility guidelines apply to data services, telecommunications services, and telecom material / cable and wiring supplies.  Click here to view Eligibility Guidelines for hardware and software sales or IT services.

• Texas State Agencies
• City and county governments
• Special districts created by Texas state law (e.g., municipal water districts)
• Entities owned by or a part of a city or county taxing authority (e.g., public libraries)
• Consortia and cooperatives made up of political subdivisions if organized under the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 791
• Certain private institutions of higher education as more particularly described in Texas Government Code, Section 2170.004 (5)

Rates are month-to-month, with no termination or installation charges, except where noted.
On certain services ordered on or after 10-04-02, AT&T Texas is authorized to charge a pro rata installation charge in the event a customer does not keep an ordered service for at least 12 months.
